There is quite a good chance you can get an RRV.
We have a few successful applications in similar situations.
Quite a lot of evidence and detailed submission letter will have to be provided, but yes RRV grant is within a reach.
Let me know if you need assistance.

Hi,

I moved to Australia at 16 in 2011 on a temporary visa for 1.5 years then moved back to the U.K. in 2013 at 18 y/o. Once we moved back to the U.K. my permanent visa got granted that week. I’ve since been back in 2014 & 2016 for a few weeks at a time to visit family. I’m assuming my visa will be expired now but is there any chance I could get this back? Many thanks
Just checked and the PR expired May 2018. What can I do!?

It’s not simple but dependant on the situation it might be possible to get her RRV. Let us know if you’ll need assistance with the application

You can apply for RRV as many times as you wish, but if it will be granted or not that’s the other question.
Each and every 155 application is being assessed against it’s own merits.
As longer you are away from Australia the weaker your ties to Australia are. On the other hand, working for an Australian company, paying taxes here and having a property in Australia has some merits, so chances are they’ll grant you a visa every year. I’d suggest to Visit Australia for at least a couple of weeks every year.

You can come back within validity of your visa, either old or new one.
If you have stayed in Australia at least 2 years in the last 5 years as a PR, your RRV application should be processed quickly.

I got the Australian PR in feb 2015 and it will expire feb 2020. During last 5 year I was traveling in and out many time must have stayed 5 months. My wife and son are studying there since last 1 year. I want to apply now for RRV from australia and we are traveling abroad and plan to return before expiry of our visa. Is my application for RRV not approved during our stay abroad will effect our return to Australia even if we had our original Visa still valid.

I was in Aus from 2008 until 2013 on Student Visa, from 2013 to 2015 on Temporary Resident Visa 489 and from 2015 to July 2019 on PR Visa 189. I am currently working for a company (I am currently employed under head quarter) which has subsidiary company and operations in Aus. I have a property and have been declaring/paying tax every year. The issue I am having now is that I have a job contract until July 2023. Until then, can I apply RRV 155 every year? How many times can I apply for RRV 155? I will definitely be coming back to Aus permanently after July 2023. Kindest Regards, Steven

My daughter from my first wife got her PR with me but due to personal reasons she could not travel and stay with me in Australia so now her PR has expired. Now i want her to come to Australia to live with me. I still have my PR valid, can i apply for her PR to be renewed even though she never came to Australia when she had her PR, is it simple enough ?

Depends on how long you’re going away.
If a short holiday – see no issues apply for RRV and have fun, if for longer – they’ll put your citizenship app on hold and will be checking if your intention is to live in Australia or you are just gaming the system.

If you haven’t been to Australia as a PR for more than 10 years and there are no ties to Australia and compelling circumstances for absence, chances are close to nil.
